Since Since 1995 the Rotary Club of Hamden Foundation has been among the District 7980 leaders in donations to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International as well as to local projects and to international projects such as the Haitian Health Foundation, Gift of Life and Project Amigo in Colima, Mexico. At the Brisbane Convention the Rotary Club of Hamden Foundation completed it's commitment to the 2002-2003 Polio Eradication Fund by fulfilling it's US $100,000 pledge, earning the distinction of the Club making the highest per capita contribution in the Rotary world.
In 2004-2005, the Rotary Club of Hamden Foundation provided the project leadership and start-up cost to the AMBER Alert Child ID in District 7980. This ambitious project seeks to provide a nationwide protocol and standards for the voluntary collection and dissemination of abducted children. The program, launched in Connecticut, has provided Rotary Clubs across Connecticut with the means to become active participants in the war against child abductions. In 2005-2006 the Rotary Club of Hamden Foundation provided start-up funds and project leadership for the South Asia Pure Water Initiative in Kolar, India. Both of these projects are and will continue to be growing intensively over coming years
